About Us

The creation of Women Who Work in Fieldsports (WWWF) is due to an opportune encounter at The Game Fair among its three founders: Louisa Clutterbuck, Iona Campbell, and Vanessa Steel. They recognised the absence of a dedicated space for women in the fieldsports industry to connect and support one another, the trio envisioned a platform where women in this field could come together, share experiences, and foster a sense of community. Given the industry's isolation and male-dominated nature, their vision was to create an inclusive haven for women to discuss both triumphs and challenges. So many women work tirelessly behind the scenes in fieldsports, and they want to provide all with a voice.

WWWF has successfully hosted In Conversation Events featuring inspirational speakers and a festive Christmas drinks with many more events planned in the future which includes an event with Tiggy Pettifer from the Atlantic Salmon Trust, a breakfast at the Game Fair and an event in the Scottish Borders in November.

Additionally, they have launchied several initiatives to empower women in the fieldsports industry. These include a monthly podcast featuring conversations with notable figures such as Paula Lester from Country Life, Annika Purdey, Susan Aubrey-Cound from the Countryside Alliance, and Lucy Bowden from Farlows. They’re also starting a webinar series with industry professionals covering topics like maternity rights, resilience, finance and investing, marketing, business commercialisation, and nutrition. These initiatives aim to facilitate networking, provide valuable insights, and create a supportive environment for women in fieldsports.

Louisa, Vanessa and Iona express their hope that individuals will join them on this journey. Their mission is to build a robust network, address critical industry issues, and showcase the finest aspects of fieldsports in Great Britain. By fostering collaboration and amplifying the voices of women in the industry, WWWF seeks to contribute to the growth and vibrancy of the fieldsports community.

Our mission is to connect women in the fieldsports industry to create an incredible community and network
