April Profile: Hannah Russell
Hannah Russell is a bestselling author with 19 published books to her name. She started her writing journey at the young age of 17 with a book about her miniature Shetland pony, Little Alf. Over the past decade, Hannah has not only expanded her entrepreneurial spirit but has also become the face of various brands, earning numerous awards along the way.
Hannah's passion for the outdoors blossomed during her childhood, ignited by her first pony, Badger. This early connection to horses and nature has flourished over the years as she grew up in Yorkshire surrounded by a diverse array of animals. From horses and dogs to sheep, tortoises, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats, and alpacas, these beloved creatures continue to grace Hannah's social media platforms.
Over the last few years Hannah has been recognised in field sports, often fly fishing through the summer, clay shooting and working her dogs over the winter season on shoot days. Hannah recently became an ambassador for the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust and hopes to help spread the message with others about game and wildlife management, emphasising its importance for nature conservation.
Hannah is currently working on a book based on her flat coated retriever Winston which will be released in August which will raise funds for The Gamekeepers Welfare Trust.
